ILTV i PsHV-1 comparteixen 70 gens conservats i els resultats del BLAST indiquen que les proteïnes de PsHV-1 tenen la major similitud cap a homòlegs de ILTV comparat amb d'altres herpesvirus. S'ha comprobat per diversos gens i existeix gran homologia dins del grup d'herpesvirus i encara més si són del mateix subgrup (alfaherpesvirus).

Com a exemple he comparat sobre la base de dades del BLAST, quines són aquelles proteïnes que tenen més semblança amb la proteïna helicasa de ILTV.

Blast amb la seqüència proteïca de l'helicasa de ILTV

Els resultats van ser que la major homologia s'obtenia amb la helicasa dels Psittacid herpesvirus i després amb els virus més propers.

A banda, farem l'estudi d'una seqüència d'una proteïna molt coneguda com és la del gen de la polimerasa en diferents espècies i veurem si els resultats surten tal i com es van veure a l'estudi. Realitzarem una alineament multiple de les seqüències mitjançant el clustalW. Els resultats els veurem a la pestanya de filogènia.
